TEACHING AND LEARNING STRATEGIES WITH ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATION
Assalamualaikum and hi everyone J
The lesson continue in week 4 learning about TEACHING AND LEARNING STRATEGIES. To accommodate different abilities, skills, learning rates, and styles, teaching and learning strategies might involve a variety of whole class, group, and individual activities that allow every student to engage and achieve success or objective.
Both teaching and learning divided by 2 that is TEACHER CENTERED STRATEGIES & STUDENT CENTERED STRATEGIES and have total 10 strategies learned in class. I hope the picture below can help you a lot J
TEACHER CENTERED
STUDENT CENTERED
However, my opinion is the most effective teaching and learning strategy is one that achieves educational objectives. This means that teacher tactics should be adjusted to the each student individually. What works for one group of student might not work for another. Best teacher is the one who know well their students.
Even in my class in physical education, the right strategy
will be used to align with the topic so that the student and teacher can
achieve the objective of the lesson. Of course in physical education there are
many physical skills to be performed. Can you imagine, in a short period of
time how a student will master all the badminton skill? So the right teaching
and learning strategies will determine the solution J
So, why all the listed or more teaching and learning strategies
are important for the teacher and student? Strategies help students begin to
understand the process of learning. Student can use strategies to get through their
weaknesses and perform at their best. I really happy that this lesson helped me
a lot to improve my teaching quality in class after this ❤
