4 eras of Educational Digital Technology

I learned and know something new about the transformation and the timeline of technology from the gold time before until now. So now I will share and reflect a bit of the Eras of Educational Digital Technology.
As the highlight for this topic, there are four Eras that have different level of technology achievement. The achievement then improved from one era to another era. There are ;
1. PRE-MICRO COMPUTER ERA
2. MICRO-COMPUTER ERA
3. INTERNET ERA
4. MOBILE RECHNOLOGIES ERA

PRE-MICRO COMPUTER ERA (1950s - late 1970s)
1950 - MIT Pilots are traines using flight simulators (1st computer used for instruction)
1959 - IBM 650 teaches binary arithemic to school children in NYC
1960-1970 - Universities use main-frames system for programming
Early 1970s - CAI emerges ; univ using mainframes and mincomputers in schools
Mid to late 1970s - School begin using computers for instruction and administration work
Late 1970s - Luehrmann coins the term computer literacy as CAI movement declines; in 1978, Molnar warns that non-computer literate students will be educationally disadvantage
MICRO COMPUTER ERA (Late 1970s - 1990s)
1977 - The first microcomputer enters schoolMid 1980s- 1990s - Integrated Learning System (ILS) are identified as cost-effective solutions for instruction (from stand alone system towards centrel serves with connected machines)
MICRO COMPUTER ERA (Late 1970s - 1990s)
1993 - World Wide Web is born
1994 - Online and distance learning increases
1995 - Virtual schooling begin
1998 - International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) creates standard to guide technology skills for learners and teachers
MOBILE TECHNOLOGY ERA (Late 1970s - 1990s)
2005 - Social networking gains mainstream popularity2007 - Amazon releases the first ebook reader, Kindle
2008 - Partnership for 21st Century Skills creates framework
2010 - iPad, the first handled computer, released by Apple
